Synthetic paper is a combination of paper and plastic, usually PE or PP, with the best properties of paper and plastic. In other words, it has all the barrier and physical properties of plastic, but it looks just like paper. Thus, synthetic paper is resistant to water, grease, many kinds of chemicals, UV light, and many kinds of other external influences.
Due to its much higher resistance to mechanical impact than the regular paper, synthetic paper is mainly used where, due to the environmental conditions, it is not possible to use the regular paper. For example, for labelling of seeds, wood, metal products, outdoor storage goods, warning signs, or for producing tags, bracelets, luggage labels, food menus, or carcass labels.
